Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. She spent most of her early years listening to classic music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music along with old classical pieces. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense singing instruction. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In her early career, she was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After moving into the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she relocated to southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions and performs the traditional Latin American Music. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for art and music has her involved in a range of different projects. Ana is also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
